1959 was a transitional year for the popular Precision Bass and the 1959 Precision Bass Journeyman Relic is a nod to the early models of that year. An alder body wears a perfectly aged Journeyman Relic lacquer finish, and the one-piece quartersawn maple neck has a ’60-style “oval C” profile and features a 9.5”-radius fingerboard with 20 medium jumbo frets for commanding play over the entire length of the neck. A hand-wound ’62 P-Bass pickup provides thumping vintage tone, with master volume, master tone and vintage P-Bass wiring. Other features include a single-ply gold anodized pickguard, vintage-style bass bridge with threaded steel saddles, vintage-style tuning machines, bone nut and disk string tree. A deluxe hardshell case, strap and certificate of authenticity are also included.
